Limnophila

Limnophila is a stem plant with fine, whorled leaves arranged in feathery rings up the stem. Planted as a group it reads as a soft green texture behind coarser-leaved plants.

Growing Limnophila

  • Stem plant: set the stems as a group and give each one a little space.
  • Lighting: moderate light keeps the whorls tight and full.
  • CO2: optional, though it grows faster and denser with it.
  • Placement: background, or midground where you want fine texture up front of taller plants.
  • Difficulty: moderate. It grows quickly and needs a regular trim.

Cut the tops and replant them to keep the group even in height. Availability shifts as new stock arrives, so the listings here reflect what is on hand today. Plants are sold for local pickup at the Lethbridge store.
