Nesaea

Nesaea is a stem plant grown for warm orange and red foliage, and it is the most demanding of the coloured stems we carry. It rewards a well-run tank and sulks in a neglected one.

Growing Nesaea

• Stem plant: plant the stems as a group with space between them.
• Lighting: high light is what brings out the colour and keeps leaves on the lower stem.
• CO2: added CO2 and consistent fertilizing are strongly recommended.
• Placement: midground or background, used as a colour accent rather than as bulk.
• Difficulty: demanding, and best attempted in an established planted tank.

Stable water conditions matter more to this plant than to most. Stock rotates, so current availability is what appears here. Plants are sold for local pickup at our Lethbridge store.
