Xtreme Aquatics Community Crave Flakes

A krill and spirulina based flake from Xtreme, a small Vermont maker, aimed at general community tanks where fish of several sizes feed together.

Key features

• Krill and spirulina lead the formula, covering both the animal and the plant side of an omnivore's diet.
• Fine flakes break up readily, which suits mixed-size communities and smaller fish that cannot manage a pellet.
• Produced in small runs in Vermont rather than at commodity scale.
• A practical everyday staple for freshwater community aquariums.

Flake food feeds the upper and middle levels of a tank well, but fish that graze the bottom, such as corydoras and plecos, need a sinking food of their own rather than the crumbs that make it down. Larger, boisterous fish are better matched to a bigger grade like the Xtreme Big Fella pellet. Other staple foods are grouped in our Nutrition collection. Available for local pickup at our Lethbridge store.
