Seachem Zip Bag - Large

A reusable mesh bag for holding loose filter media in place inside a canister, sump or filter chamber.

Key features

• Zip closure rather than a drawstring, so media stays put while the bag is handled wet
• Large size suits bulkier biological media such as Matrix and Pond Matrix
• Reusable — rinse it out and refill rather than buying a new bag with every media change
• Corrosion-resistant zipper for fresh and salt water use

Rinse new media in the bag before it goes into the filter, since most media carries dust that will otherwise cloud the tank. Leave a little room rather than packing the bag tight, so water moves through the media instead of finding its way around it.

Fine granular products such as Purigen call for a finer mesh than this bag provides. For media to fill it with, see our external filter media. Available at the Lethbridge store.
