The flake version of Omega One's betta diet, worth reaching for when a fish will not take a firm pellet.
Key features
- The same whole-fish approach as the pellet, with salmon, herring and shrimp among the leading ingredients.
- Flakes soften quickly, which makes them easier for a fussy eater or a newly settled betta to tear at.
- Light enough to sit at the surface, where a betta naturally looks for food.
- Feed a small pinch. Flakes disperse fast and anything missed will break down in the tank.
The trade-off against a pellet is portion control: flakes are harder to measure by eye, so a good many keepers use pellets day to day and keep flakes on hand for fussy stretches. Whichever you settle on, a betta still needs a heated, filtered tank rather than a bowl. The rest of the range is in our Omega One collection. Available for local pickup at our Lethbridge store.
