Marina Ultra Air Control Valve

One air pump can drive several devices at once if you split the line, and a control valve is what lets you decide how much air each of them actually receives.

Key features

• Splits a single pump outlet into multiple lines, so one pump can run a sponge filter, an air stone and an air-driven ornament together.
• Every outlet has its own adjuster, which matters because air takes the easiest path — an unregulated split will starve whichever device sits deepest.
• Available in two, three, four and five way versions; pick the number of outlets from the selector.
• Hangs on a standard tank rim and suits fresh or salt water.

Closing outlets down hard raises the back pressure the pump has to work against, so if you find yourself throttling everything right down, a smaller pump is kinder than a big one held back. Fit a check valve on each line as well if the pump sits below the water level. Stones, tubing and pumps to feed it are in Aeration.
