Marina Extendable Air Stone

This one is a flexible ring rather than a block, and sections join to one another, so you can build a circle of bubbles around a piece of hardscape instead of working with a single stone in a single spot.

Key features

• The ring form gives an enclosing curtain of bubbles, which reads very differently in a tank from one central plume.
• Links to further sections when you want a wider circle or a longer run.
• Two diameters are offered; the selector shows which we have.
• Runs on ordinary airline tubing from a normal aquarium air pump.

A long ring has a lot of surface to feed, so check that your pump has the output to fill it evenly before you extend it — our staff can help you match the two. The display is the point here, but the practical benefit is the same as any diffuser: it is the movement at the water surface, not the bubbles themselves, that does the gas exchange. Pumps, tubing and valves are in Aeration.
