We do not take backorders on live fish, invertebrates or plants. Livestock arrives on the shipping schedule our suppliers and the weather allow, so we will not promise a date we cannot keep.
What is in the tanks changes from week to week. Ask us and we will tell you what is in and what is coming, or check back shortly. Visit us or get in touch.

Jade green shrimp are a green line of Neocaridina davidi, ranging from a soft olive to a deeper jade depending on the individual, the substrate and how settled the animal is. Green is one of the less stable colours in dwarf shrimp, so expect more variation across a batch than you would see in a red or orange line — that is the nature of the morph rather than a sign of poor stock.
Aquarium care
- Adults reach about 2.5 to 3 cm.
- Peaceful and harmless to plants.
- Grazes biofilm, soft algae and detritus; supplement with a shrimp food and blanched vegetables.
- Requires moderately hard, mineral-rich water so that moults go cleanly.
- Copper is lethal — read the label on any medication or fertiliser before dosing the tank.
- Colour deepens over a few weeks once a shrimp settles and stops being moved around.
They suit a mature planted tank with small, gentle fish, or a shrimp-only setup if you want the colony to grow. Provide moss and leaf litter as cover for shrimplets. Keep them away from cichlids, gouramis, loaches and larger barbs, all of which treat dwarf shrimp as food.
Stock rotates with each shipment, and livestock is available for local pickup at our Lethbridge store. See the shrimp collection.
