Fluval C3 Foam Pad

The plain foam pad for the Fluval C3 power filter, an open-cell block that filters mechanically and carries a bacterial colony at the same time.

This is not the poly/foam pad

The C series uses two different foam parts and ordering the wrong one is a common mistake. This page is the single-layer foam pad. The two-layer poly/foam insert, with a dense polyester face on one side, is a separate product listed in a three-pack. If your filter is already apart and you cannot tell which is which, the poly/foam pad has two clearly different sides while this one is foam throughout.

Because bacteria live in this pad, rinse it in used aquarium water instead of replacing it whenever you can, and keep replacements occasional. Other hang-on spares are in Replacement Parts, with local pickup at our Lethbridge store.
