A slow-release nugget that feeds fish gradually while you are away, intended as a short-term stopgap rather than a replacement for normal feeding.
Key features
- Made with black soldier fly larvae, so it shares the insect-protein base of the rest of the Bug Bites range.
- Releases food slowly over several days, which covers a short trip without anyone having to visit the tank.
- Best used in an established, well-filtered aquarium. Anything left sitting in the water adds to the bioload.
- Take out whatever remains when you get home, check your water, and return to your normal feeding routine.
Worth being plain about this: most healthy adult fish cope with a few days without food better than they cope with a fouled tank, so a vacation feeder is best kept for short absences. For longer trips, arrange for someone to feed properly. Other holiday options are grouped in our weekend and feeder collection. Available for local pickup at our Lethbridge store.
