Fluval 407 Bio-Foam Value Pack

A value pack of Bio-Foam for the Fluval 407, the size most likely to be working hard on a heavily stocked tank.

Key features

• Made for the Fluval 407 media basket
• Takes the mechanical load first, which is what keeps carbon, ClearMax and polishing pads from clogging early
• Porous structure holds a substantial bacterial colony, so it contributes to biological filtration as well
• A pack rather than a single block, which suits big tanks where foam fills up quickly

Servicing a 407

Large canisters on well-fed tanks pack their foam faster than most owners expect. Rinse in old tank water each time you open the filter, and only retire a block when it has lost its springiness. Replacing every block at once removes the mature bacteria that keep the tank stable, so spread the changes out.

The 107, 207 and 307 have their own value packs, and Bio-Foam+ for the 307 and 407 is listed as a single piece. Browse the rest at Fluval, or pick up at our Lethbridge store.
