Fluval 406/407 Bio-Foam Max - 2 Pack

Two Bio-Foam Max blocks for the Fluval 406 and 407, a thicker, rippled foam that does mechanical and biological duty at once.

Key features

• Rippled face presents more surface to the water than a flat block, so waste spreads out instead of packing into one layer
• Slower to blind, which keeps the media behind it working properly for longer
• Deep foam structure supports a large population of nitrifying bacteria
• Custom fit for the 406 and 407 baskets, leaving no gap for water to bypass

What's included

Two Bio-Foam Max blocks.

Not the same as standard Bio-Foam

Bio-Foam Max and the plain Bio-Foam block are different parts, and the Max version is matched to specific filter models rather than shared across the range. The 206/306 and 207/307 filters take their own Bio-Foam Max, and so does the 106/107. Rinse these in used tank water at each service and replace only once the foam no longer springs back, one block at a time. The rest of the canister range is in External Media, with local pickup at our Lethbridge store.
