How they fit into the filter

Polishing pads go in last, after the foam and any chemical media, so the coarse work is already done by the time water reaches them. Put one in front of the foam and it will blind almost immediately. A badly clogged pad will slow the whole filter down, so check it whenever the outflow drops off. Owners of the 306/307 and 406/407 want the six-pack of Quick-Clear pads instead; both sit alongside the rest of our External Media, with local pickup at our Lethbridge store.
