API Super Ick Cure 50mL

Super Ick Cure is API's dedicated white spot treatment, used once ich has already appeared on fish in a freshwater or fish-only marine tank.

Key features

• Targets ich, the parasite behind the familiar scattering of white spots, along with some other external parasitic problems.
• Usable in freshwater and in fish-only saltwater systems.
• A small bottle suited to hospital and quarantine tanks rather than to large display systems.

Important cautions

• API does not recommend it for reef tanks or for any aquarium holding invertebrates. Corals, shrimp and snails are sensitive to it.
• Remove activated carbon before treating and keep aeration up, since ich damages gills and fish under treatment need all the oxygen they can get.
• Ich spends part of its life cycle embedded in the fish where medication cannot reach it, so completing the full course matters. Stopping early because the spots disappeared is the usual reason an outbreak returns.
• Dose exactly as printed on the packaging. If you are unsure of your real water volume once substrate and rock are accounted for, ask us.
