Seachem Neutral Regulator®

Neutral Regulator is a powdered freshwater buffer that moves pH towards 7.0 from either direction and holds it there.

Key features

• Buffers a freshwater aquarium to roughly neutral, whether your water sits high or low
• Also removes chlorine and chloramine and detoxifies ammonia, so it doubles as a conditioner
• Dissolves into replacement water, which is the gentlest way to apply it
• Phosphate based, which suits fish only community tanks

Two things worth saying plainly. Because it is a phosphate buffer, it is not the right choice for a planted display where the extra phosphate can feed algae. And most community fish do better in stable water than in a pH chased towards a target, so use a buffer when you have a real reason such as an unstable or badly mismatched supply. Dose by weight to the label.

Planted tank keepers should look at Acid Buffer and Alkaline Buffer in our chemicals range instead.
