Flourish Excel is a liquid carbon source for planted tanks, giving plants an alternative carbon supply where pressurised CO2 is not practical.

One honest caution: Excel does not suit every plant. Vallisneria is widely reported to melt when it is dosed, and some mosses and Anubias react badly as well. If you keep those, start well below the label dose and watch the plants for a week before increasing. It is a carbon supplement, not an algae treatment, and it will not fix an algae problem caused by light or nutrient imbalance.
