Keep two or three females for every male.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOccupies the middle and upper water column.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eA livebearer, so expect young in a settled community tank.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\u003cp\u003eThey suit a hard-water community with platies, swordtails, larger rasboras and peaceful barbs. Avoid fin-nippers and anything that needs soft, acidic water, since the two groups pull in opposite directions.
